Layer paints are designed for precise layer painting and the targeted highlighting of details on miniatures. Russ Grey is ideal for cool, mid-tone blue-grey shades and is particularly well suited for armour, fabrics, vehicles, as well as frosty or Nordic colour schemes. The paint offers balanced, controlled coverage and allows smooth transitions with a clear, cool colour effect.
Layer paints are applied in thin layers and allow light and depth to be built up in a controlled way. Russ Grey is excellently suited for lightening very dark blue-grey tones or adding subtle highlights without obscuring details or losing the overall cool impression.
For optimal results, it is recommended to thin the paint slightly and apply it in several thin layers. This allows even surfaces and precise highlights to be achieved.
