Warhammer - Citadel Colour: Contrast Pylar Glacier 29-58
The Contrast paints combine the high flow of a Shade paint with the strong color intensity and adhesion of a Layer paint. This allows details and surfaces of a miniature to be painted quickly and cleanly, creating strong contrasts and depth with just a single coat. Pylar Glacier is especially well suited for icy effects, cold blue tones, magical energies, ghostly apparitions, as well as light fabrics or armor details.
Contrast Paints act as both a base color and shading at the same time, significantly speeding up the painting process. When applied over metallic paints, they alter the color tone without obscuring the metallic texture, making them ideal for frosted weapons or enchanted armor.
For best results, light-colored undercoats are recommended. The primers Wraithbone, White Scar, and Grey Seer are particularly suitable, as they best showcase the excellent flow properties and translucent nature of Contrast paints.
