Warhammer - Citadel Colour: Contrast Apothecary White 29-34
Contrast paints combine the high flow of a Shade paint with the controlled color density of a Layer paint, allowing miniatures to be painted quickly and cleanly in a single step. Apothecary White is especially well suited for white and very light areas such as fabrics, armor, bones, fur, or spiritual and magical effects. The paint creates subtle shading and depth without losing the bright character of the surface.
Contrast Paints function as both a base color and shading, significantly simplifying the entire painting process. Apothecary White is ideal for achieving clean highlights and smooth transitions, particularly on models with many fine details. When applied over light metallic paints, it can subtly adjust the tone while preserving the metallic texture.
For best results, light-colored primers are recommended. Wraithbone, White Scar, and Grey Seer are especially suitable, as they best support the transparency and excellent flow properties of Contrast paints.
